Boston Red Sox : California Angels : New York Yankees

Butch Hobson played the quarterback position at Alabama for the legendary Bear Bryant but ultimately chose to concentrate on baseball, not football. Lucky for Red Sox fans because Butch played some great ball for the Sox and also distinguished himself as the Red Sox manager from 1992-1994. Butch was known for his all-out, hard-nosed brand of baseball throughout the 70's. In 1977, playing along greats like Carl Yazstremski, Jim Rice and Fred Lynn, he was voted the prestigious 10th Man of the Year award by his fellow teammates. Deservedly so, because in 1977, he hit 30 homeruns and batted in 112 RBI's, hitting out of the 7 and 8 spot in a power-packed line-up.

Butch coaches ball, delivers motivational speeches and enjoys his family. Rumor has it, some of the kids are playing really quality ball, maybe we get another Hobson in the Bigs! Butch has big plans for his Fields Of Green participation, hitting our cause with the same kind of intensity he played with back in the day.
